ever been a victum of fraud?

Has anyone here on the zone ever been a victum of fraud? I was several months ago but the good thing is I caught it early. I just happen to be off that day and checking my bank statement and saw a couple of unauthorized transactions, then about a minute there would be another one, and then another one. That's when I called the bank to let them know and they canceled my debit immediately and issued me a new one. But I mean if I had been working that day lord knows what could of happened. I did find out who did it and while I didn't press charges I could have. Also thank goodness she didn't use my idenity. For those of you that had been a victum as well, how did you handle it, and how did you prevent it in the future?

yeh, I'm a victim of fraud every time my mum or my boyfriend use my card on my behalf. lol

well, I almost became a victum of fraud. I was on the phone and this lady called me up from the phone from the upstairs apartment. and i asked who's calling. and the lady said, its union county college. and she asked me what my major is and she asked me my name and that. after that she asked me a whole bunch of other stuff.
the worse part was i was sick very sick that day.
and, she got to the point where she asked me to give her my personal information and i told her i was uncomfortable. and she forced me to give her my personal information like my email adress etc. and i told her if i can talk to the supervisor and she transfered the call to the supervisor. i told the supervisor that i felt uncomfortable giving private info. and she understood. I asked her "what is this call for really? and " is this for a credit card" and she responded yes. and i told her im not interested and she hangs up by saying thanks for your time! i was about to throw up due to being so nervous.
so I immediately called my parents and told them the story and they got fritened because of this. thank god i did catch that early before it even started. i told my parents what i did and they said well, thank god this didn't go overboard.
